Chesnut Trailhead

A steeper trail that leads to the top of Chesnut Mountain and meanders along the ridgeline for several miles. Provides access to several other trails in the backcountry.

At 1.2 miles, a one-mile spur trail traverses west providing climbing access and a hike or bike ride to the base of Frog Rock.

First part of trail crosses private land, respect landowner and stay on designated trail.

Directions

From Bozeman drive east on I-90 towards the Bozeman Pass. Take the Trail Creek exit and drive east on Trail Creek Road. Parking will be on the south side of the road by the trailhead roughly 200 yards from the exit.
