Colter Campground

Colter Campground is on the Gardiner Ranger District of the Custer Gallatin National Forest. Located near the Northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park & Cooke City area, and proximity to the Beartooth Scenic Byway & Nez Perce National Historic Trail & Auto Tour Route. 

THIS CAMPGROUND IS HARD SIDED VEHICLES ONLY - NO TENT CAMPING.

Access road not suitable for vehicles longer than 48'

Open 7/1 – 9/7 Weather Dependent.

Open 24 hours/day

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $20/night.
Additional Vehicle: $5/night.
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to Single Campsites ONLY.
*The discount applies only to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass holder, not to any additional fee or campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass holder's party.*
