Corral Creek Trail (# 9)

Corral Creek Trail (# 9) is 4.1 miles long. This is a beautiful but strenuous trail that curves around Sheridan Point and leads to the headwaters of Corral Creek on the Line Creek Plateau. From the Corral Creek headwaters, follow the rocky drainage to the five foot rock cairn (junction with Line Creek Basin Trail No. 9A).

At this point, head south to continue on the Line Creek Basin Trail No. 9A. Elevation change: 3000 feet. The trail is open for the following uses: hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, and bicycles.

Directions

Directions from district office:

Drive south on US Hwy 212 towards Cooke City for 6.8 miles. Turn left (south) onto the East Side Rd. Drive .3 miles to the trailhead on your right. There is ample parking but there is limited room for horse trailers.

*Be advised that there are two entrances to East Side Rd: the first is 5 miles south of the office and the second is 6.8 miles south of the office. For Corral Creek, drive to the second for the quickest route.
