Forest Order

Pursuant to 16 United States Code (USC) § 551 and 36 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR.) § 261.50(a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited on all National Forest System lands within the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Roosevelt National Forest, Larimer County, Colorado, hereafter referred to as the Restricted Area. The Restricted Areas as described in this order are depicted on the attached maps hereby incorporated into this order as: Exhibit A (Items I. Camping and II. Fires) and Exhibit B (Item III. Boating): 

CAMPING A. Camping within 200 feet of the following trails as shown on the attached map. 36 CFR § 261.58(e):  Greyrock National Recreation Trail #946  Greyrock Meadows Trail # 947 B. Camping within a quarter mile of the Young Gulch Trail #999 for the first 1.7 miles of the trail, as shown on the attached map. 36 CFR § 261.58(e).

FIRES A. Building, maintaining, attending, or using a fire, campfire or stove fire within 200 feet of the following trails as shown on the attached map. 36 CFR § 261.52(a):  Greyrock National Recreation Trail #946  Greyrock Meadows Trail # 947 B. Building, maintaining, attending, or using a fire, campfire or stove fire within a quarter mile of the Young Gulch Trail #999 for the first 1.7 miles of the trail, as shown on the attached map. 36 CFR § 261.52(a).

BOATING A. Possessing or operating any motorboat on all lakes except the following, 36 CFR § 261.58 (n):  Chambers Lake  Dowdy Lake B. Operating any watercraft in excess of a posted speed limit. 36 CFR § 261.58 (q). Order # ARP-CLRD-2013-01 page 2 of 2 Pursuant to 36 CFR, § 261.50 (e), the following persons are exempt from the specified Prohibitions of this order: 1. Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission. 2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of an official duty. 

This order will be in effect when signed and rescinds Order # 10-05-05 Greyrock National Recreation Trail
