Weed Management

The Forest Service in partnership with other federal, state and county agencies are striving to improve vegetation management practices to help reduce the threat of noxious weeds. First, we need to educate and spread the word about noxious weeds so people are aware of the problem and can help defend their public lands. Second, we need to prevent new infestations by eliminating their introduction into an area. Third, we need to inventory current infestations so we can treat areas based on ecosystem needs. Fourth, we need to treat infected areas.

Each district on the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland actively manage noxious weeds annually.
