Forest Order
Pursuant to Title 16 USC § 551, and 36 CFR 261.50(a) & (b), the following acts are prohibited on all National Forest System lands within the Magnolia Area of the Boulder Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, in Boulder and Gilpin Counties, Colorado (the “Restricted Area”). The purpose of this Order is to provide for public safety and protect Threatened and Endangered Species. The Restricted Area is defined as the Magnolia Area in both Boulder and Gilpin Counties: T1S, R73W, sections 13, 23-24, 26-27, 34-36 and in T1S, R72W, sections 9-10, 15-21, as depicted on the attached map, hereby incorporated into this Order as Exhibit A.
PROHIBITIONS: 1. Using or possessing an over-snow vehicle off National Forest System roads in the areas shown as closed on Exhibit A. (When provided by an order, it is prohibited to possess or use a vehicle off National Forest System roads. 36 CFR 261.56) 2. Using an over-snow vehicle on forest developed trails in the Restricted Area as shown on Exhibit A. (When provided by an order, the following are prohibited on a National Forest System trail: Using any type of vehicle prohibited by the order. 36 CFR 261.55(b)) 3. Using an over-snow vehicle on National Forest System roads in the areas shown as closed on Exhibit A. (When provided by an order, the following are prohibited: Using any type of vehicle prohibited by the order. 36 CFR 261.54(a))
EXEMPTIONS: Pursuant to 36 CFR § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order: 1. Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission. 2. Any Federal, State or Local officer or member of any organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
This Order shall be effective when signed and shall remain in effect until rescinded.
