Temporary Area Closure in the upper Icicle Road area
An area closure for Rock Island Campground and area for three days in order to allow the FBI to conduct an ongoing investigation.
The objective of the order is to provide for public health and safety by implementing an area closure for the Rock Island Campground and FSR 7609000, 7600110 and 7609110.

Closure Order: 06-17-07-25-23
Pursuant to 16 USC § 551 and 36 CFR § 261.50(a) and (b), and to provide for public safety, the following acts are prohibited within the Wenatchee River Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. This Order is effective August 24, 2025 at 06:00 through August 27th at 06:00, unless rescinded sooner.
PROHIBITIONS:
1.Entering into or being upon National Forest System lands, as described below and displayed on the attached map, Exhibit A [36 CFR § 261.53(e)].
2.Being on a National Forest System Road as described below and displayed on the attached map, Exhibit A [36 CFR § 261.54(e)].
CLOSURE AREA DESCRIPTION:
The Closure is defined as follows:
The closure area boundary begins at the junction of Forest System Road (FSR) 7600000 and 7600315 Ida Creek Campground. The closure will follow the 7600000 all the way to the end of the road. The closure will proceed along the 7609000. The closure area will go south along the boudry of 7600000 all the way to the where Jack Pine trail intersects the 7600000 and then in a straight line back to 7609000. The closure includes all of Rock Island Camp Ground and FSR 7600110, 7600000 and 7609000
FSR 7600000, will remain open to public up to the Ida Creek Campground during the closure period.

EXEMPTIONS:
Pursuant to 36 CFR § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:
1.Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire-fightingforce in the performance of an official duty.
2.Persons with Forest Service Permit No. FS-7700-48 (Permit for Use of Roads, Trails, orAreas Restricted by Regulation Order), specifically exempting them from this Order.
These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.
Violations of these prohibitions are punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000.00 for an individual or $10,000.00 for a corporation, or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both.
