Permits

You must have a permit or other authorization to remove most forest products (such as firewood, mushrooms Christmas trees, transplants, and poles and posts) from the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. 

Permits are also needed for activities such as large group gatherings, educational activities, film-making, or outfitting and guide services. 

Boaters who use federal docks on Lake Chelan are required to display a Lake Chelan Federal Dock Site Permit.

Lake Chelan Dock Permits

Enchantments Permits

Wilderness Permits

Lewis Creek Falls, Napeequa Drainage, Glacier Peak Wilderness

There are eight Congressionally designated Wilderness Areas in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Different permit requirements apply to these areas.
