Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail Comprehensive Plan

The Comprehensive Plan identifies administrative and management goals, objectives, and practices for lands through which the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail passes. The 1,200 mile trail, designated by Congress in 2009, is administered across its length by the Forest Service while crossing a mix of federal, state, tribal, and private lands. The trail traverses Montana, Idaho, and Washington, crossing through the Flathead, Kootenai, Idaho Panhandle, Colville, Okanogan-Wenatchee, Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie, and Olympic national forests; Glacier, North Cascades, and Olympic national parks; and Bureau of Land Management units.
