Hatchery Creek Trailhead

Provides access to: Hatchery Creek Trail #1577, Badlands Trail #1576, Icicle Ridge Trail #1570, and Index Creek Trail #1572 within Alpine Lakes Wilderness.

The popular Lake Augusta is 7.9 miles from the trailhead – a relatively short distance, but the hike is a draining one.

Directions

From Leavenworth, head southwest on US-2 West for about 9 miles. Then turn left onto Hatchery Creek Road/Forest Road 7905 and follow for 2 miles to the trailhead.
