Klipchuck Campground

This forested campground is located near Early Winters Creek and has majestic trees with a stream and hiking opportunities nearby such as Driveway Butte.

This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site.

General Information

Typically May - Late October

50% discount for single site camping with any of these passes: Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age, or Golden Access. Applies to fee for site occupied by the pass holder.

2 tents OR one RV and one tent maximum per site.

Early Winters Creek is closed to fishing.

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $20 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $10 per vehicle per night

Directions

From Winthrop, drive 17.6 miles west on the North Cascades National Scenic Highway 20. Turn right onto NF-300 and drive about 1.3 miles until the campground.
