Lake Creek Trailhead, N. Fork John Day Wilderness

Provides access to: Lake Creek Trail #3018 which accesses North Fork John Day Wilderness.

Limited parking and dispersed camping are located near the trailhead.

Forest trails are not maintained and typically not accessible from late fall through late spring due to snow. Please call the North Fork John Day Ranger District Office for up-to-date information.

Directions

From Dale, travel north on Highway 395 about 1.2 miles. Turn right on Forest Road 55 and after less than 1 mile, turn right onto Forest Road 10 towards Olive Lake and travel about 10 miles. Then turn left on Forest Service Road 1010 and travel approximately 15 miles to the trailhead on the north side of the road.
