Within developed recreation sites, dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet, or otherwise under physical restrictive control. 36 CFR 261.16(j)

Getting There

Directions

From Detroit, Oregon, head west on Highway 22 just across the Breitenbush Bridge turn right up French Creek Road (Forest Road 2223), travel up Forest Road 2223 past Forest Road 2207 junction for another 6 miles to the very end. The last few miles of this road require high clearance vehicle and a steady driver who is not afraid of heights, this road has a steep drop-off on the left-hand side.

  • Elkhorn Ridge Trail #3347 heads northwest from this location.
  • French Creek Trail #3349 heads east from this location.
