Marilyn Lakes Trail #3689

Beginning at Gold Lake Campground, the trail follows the edge of the woods adjacent to a meadow. After 0.25 mile the trail crosses a meadow and enters the forest providing the visitor a gradual grade. After 1 mile, a short trail veers off to the right to Lower Marilyn Lake. The main trail passes through rolling county, arriving at Upper Marilyn Lake near the outlet. The route then follows the shoreline to the lake''s eastern shore where it turns upland and crosses a flat. It continues up a moderate grade to the trailhead on Forest Road 500. Views of Diamond Peak across the upper lake are beautiful.
