Salmon Creek Trail #4365
Salmon Creek Trail begins at the Flat Creek Work Center. Follow 1st street through Uptown Oakridge, Oregon. One mile east of the city limits sign is a parking lot with a Gazebo in front of the gate for Flat Creek Work Center. The trail begins next to the gazebo. Follow the trail to the edge of the creek, turn left as the trail to the right does not go very far, and follow the trail along the creek. There are wonderful views of Salmon Creek along this trail as well as good fishing holes. Other side trails--called the “Warrior Loops” after the Oakridge Warriors--are found along the way and offer interesting detours to even more nice views of the creek and more good fishing holes. The trail follows Salmon Creek Road for two short sections on the way upstream and eventually ends at Salmon Creek Campground about 6 miles from the start at the gazebo.
