Biking

Whether a mountain bike, street bike, or e-bike, the Kisatchie National Forest has a trail or road for you to explore!

E-Biking

Currently ebikes are considered motorized vehicles and as such their use must comply with the Travel Management Rule which means they are restricted to designated roads and motorized-use trails according to our forest’s Motor Vehicle Use Map or MVUM.  They are not legal on non-motorized trails including purpose built mountain bike trails unless a forest has gone through the travel management process (NEPA, minimization criteria) to add them to a non-motorized trail.

There are numerous trails throughout the Forest that are marked as multiple-use trails. Distances vary from 1/2 mile to nearly 30 miles. Most traverse across rolling hill terrain with many scenic areas scattered throughout. Check with the District website page for more detailed information and maps of all the available trails.

Mountain Biking

There are over 300 miles of trails throughout the Forest that are designated for use by mountain bikes.

Road Cycling

There are miles and miles of roads on the Kisatchie National forest available for road cycling.
