Two Lakes Campground Maintenance
The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest (CNNF) invites you to share your thoughts regarding the Two Lakes Campground Maintenance Project located in T. 44 N., R. 7 W., Sections 13 and 14, Bayfield County, Wisconsin. The Two Lakes Campground is considered a signature site and draws in visitors from the local communities to as far away as Iowa. This proposal is to maintain a number of the amenities within the campground. Activities include: upgrading wells to make them accessible and ensure safe drinking water; replacement of a deteriorating boat launch on Lake Owen; creation of an overflow parking area to accommodate the increased day use; replacement of older toilets with new barrier free concrete toilet buildings; installation of an alarm to bring the dump station into State compliance; and the capping of a well that consistently tested unsafe for drinking water.
