Arapaho Roosevelt and Pawnee Home

Welcome

To our amazing partners, communities and employees- Thank you

Thanks to everyone who helped out while we were gone!

The employees of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grasslands are so appreciative to the visitors, volunteers and partners who looked after the forests and grassland during the partial government shutdown.

We heard examples from the past five weeks of people packing out trash, restocking restrooms with toilet paper and shoveling snow. With your help we were able to keep many facilities open for your use.

We are particularly grateful for the law enforcement agencies that supported our minimal field staff and kept an eye on things, for the partners who provided information to the public in our absence, and, more personally, for the many local businesses and organizations that provided support for our employees during a difficult time.

The employees of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grasslands are back to work this week, and gearing up to serve you again!  The Forest Service’s motto is caring for the land and serving people, and when we couldn’t be there to do that, we were so thankful for the many individuals who stepped up in our place.

Forest Service employees are passionate about the work we do, and we are ready to get back to caring for the land and serving people alongside all these amazing groups of people. We currently are assessing our priorities for the remainder of the year. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience and support. We are truly fortunate to work in such awesome communities!
