Over 3 million acres of land located in 22 National Recreation Areas managed by the Forest Service is preserved for recreational activities like hiking, boating, fishing and swimming, while highlighting natural, cultural and scenic resources. Visitors who choose to recreate on these public lands find 164,000 miles of trails, over 30,000 recreation sites, over 5,000 miles of streams and 3 million acres of lakes, 127 alpine ski areas, 338,000 heritage sites, and specially designated sites that include 37 million acres of designated wilderness areas, 130 wild and scenic rivers, 15 monuments, and one preserve. Highway 472 Camp

The Highway 472 Camp is a designated Hunter Camp inside the Catahoula National Wildlife Management Preserve. The Hwy 472 Camp allows primitive camping in a predominantly pine setting.

The Highway 472 Hunter's Camp is inside the National Catahoula Wildlife Management Preserve and is mainly utilized by hunters but can also be used by anyone year-around.Hwy 472 camp is split into two locations directly across from each other. Each facility provides group camping, tent camping, information board, and restrooms.

Highway P Trailhead

This trailhad on the Salem Ranger District of Mark Twain Natiional Forest provides access to the Karkaghne Section of the Ozark Trail (OT). Highway Springs Campground

This campground is conveniently located with two loops located right along US Highway 160 4.1 miles west of South Fork, Colorado. Hills Creek Reservoir Area

Hills Creek Dam is located 45 miles southeast of Eugene, on the Middle Fork Willamette River, four miles southwest of Oakridge, Oregon. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers built Hills Creek Reservoir in 1961. Hilltop Boating Site

Hilltop Campground

Hilltop Campground is a large site covering nearly 10 acres about an hour from Ennis. Located on top of the hill mid-way between Cliff and Wade Lakes, it's about a 3/4 mile steep, winding drive from the Cliff Lake road. Located in the Lynx Lake Recreation Area. This campground is located in the ponderosa pine forest about 0.5 mile directly south of Lynx Lake. Hinman Park Campground

Hirz Bay 1 Group Campground

Hirz Bay 1 group camp has a maximum capacity of 120 people. The camp has the following; two (2) large pedestal grills; one (1) large fire ring; two (2) large sinks with faucets and a paved parking lot with 21 spaces. The parking area is separate from the sleeping/camping area.

Hirz Bay 2 Group Campground

Hirz Bay 2 group campground has a maximum capacity of 80 people. The camp has the following facilities; nine (9) picnic tables, one (1) large open fire ring, one (1) large pedestal grill, two (2) grate type fireplaces and two (2) hydrants. A paved parking area for 23 vehicles is provided and located away from the sleeping/camping area.

Hirz Bay Campground

Each campsite contains a paved parking spur, a table, bear boxes and one fire ring. This campground has a pay phone, an overflow parking area, access to Hirz Bay Trail, and is located near Hirz Bay boat ramp.  Hirz Bay Group campgrounds #1 and #2 are in close proximity.

Hirz Bay Public Boat Ramp

Located on the McCloud Arm of Shasta Lake, the Hirz Bay boat ramp is paved and has three (3) ramps for varying lake levels. A three lane ramp is in service until 75 feet drawdown, a two lane ramp until 95 feet drawdown. The launch ramp parking lot has 61 paved spaces with lighting and a courtesy dock.
