Modoc County Resource Advisory Committee

Under the Secure Rural Schools Resource Act and Community Self-Determination Act in Public Law 110-343, the Secure Rural Schools Resource Act Advisory Committee (RAC) provides recommendations to the Forest Service on the development and implementation of special projects on federal lands. There are fifteen members of each RAC, each representing a different interest or area of expertise, who work together to enhance working relationships among community members and forest personnel.

Status

  • A charter for the Secure Rural Schools Act Resource Advisory Committee was asigned in October of 2019. Last, the SRS Act was reauthorized for a two-yearextension on April 16, 2015 (under section 524 of P.L. 114-10).
  •  Through the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020, payments for fiscal years 2019 and 2020 were reauthorized.
