Tribal Relations
The Forest Service is recognized as a leader among Federal land management agencies in partnering appropriately and collaboratively with American Indian and Alaska Native Tribal governments and communities for mutually beneficial outcomes. The Umpqua National Forest formally consults with the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, and the Cow Creek Band of the Umpqua Tribe of Indians when making land management decisions.
