Our Firefighters

Hand Crews

Sawtooth Hotshots_for Card

There are three primary types of firefighting crews, Type 1, Type 2 IA, and Type 2. All crews have a mixture of men and women totaling 18 to 20 crewmembers. Hand crews construct firelines around wildfires to control them, burn out fire areas, and mop up after fires.
