Area Closure Surrounding the Devils Nose Target Range

PROHIBITIONS: Pursuant to 16 USC § 551 and 36 CFR § 261.50(a), the following are prohibited on the National Forest System (NFS) lands in the Clear Creek Ranger District, Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland, described below and shown on the attached map incorporated into this Order as Appendix A (the “Described Area”):  

1. Going into or being in the Restricted Area. 36 C.F.R. § 261.53(e)

EXEMPTIONS: Pursuant to 36 CFR § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:

1. Persons with Forest Service Permit No. FS-7700-48 (Permit for Use of Roads, Trails, or Areas Restricted by Regulation or Order), specifically exempting them from this Order or a written determination by a Forest Service authorized officer that a permit is not required under 36 CFR § 251.50(e)(1) or (2).
2. Any Federal, State, or Local Officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting resource in the performance of an official duty. 

DESCRIBED AREA: The Described Area is in Clear Creek County, Colorado, and is located in Sections 28, 29, and 32, Range 73 West, Township 4 South, 6th P.M. The Described Area extends roughly ½ mile North from Colorado State Highway103 along the sides and behind Devils Nose Target Range and developed areas, excluding that portion of National Forest System Road 794.1 from the intersection with Colorado State Highway 103 to the Devils Nose Target Range and parking lot.
