Forest Order
Pursuant to Title 16 U.S.C., Section 551, 36 CFR, Section 261.50(a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited within the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland, until this Order is rescinded. The purpose of this Order is to protect National Forest System Lands. I CAMPING A. Camping in areas posted closed to camping. 36 CFR 261.58 (e). B. Entering or using a developed recreation site, or portion thereof, when posted closed. 36 CFR 261.58 (b). C. Using a developed camp site by more than 8 (eight) individuals, unless the camp site is designated for group gatherings. 36 CFR 261.58 (f). D. Camping or otherwise using a camping unit that has been identified as a reservation unit, without a valid reservation voucher or unique reservation number, unless specifically authorized by the campground attendant or Forest Officer for a specified period of time. 36 CFR 261.58 (b). II CAMPFIRES Building, maintaining, attending, or using a fire or campfire is prohibited where posted. 36 CFR 261.52 (a). III PARKING Parking or leaving a vehicle in violation of posted instructions. 36 CFR 261.58 (g). IV ALCOHOL Possessing a beverage which is defined as an alcoholic beverage by State law except by those persons who have attained the age of 21 years. 36 CFR 261.58 (bb). Pursuant to 36 CFR, Section 261.50 (e), the following persons are exempt from the order: 1. Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission. 2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of an official duty.
