Forest Order

Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50 (a), the following acts are prohibited on National Forest System lands within Boulder Ranger District of the Roosevelt National Forest that are located in Boulder County and Gilpin County (the "Restricted Area"). The Restricted Area is defined as the Magnolia area in Township I South, R.73 W, Sections I0- 15, 23-24, 26-27 and Township I South, R.72 W, Sections 7-10, 15-21 as depicted on the attached Closure Order map (Exhibit A).

The purpose of this Order is to ensure public health and safety and protect resources.

PROHIBITIONS:

I. Camping within the Restricted Area outside of a designated Forest Service recreation site. 36 C.F.R. §

261.58 (e)

1. Being in the Restricted Area between IO p.m. and 6 a.m., unless camping or visiting a person camping in a designated Forest Service recreation site. 36 C.F.R. § 261.58 (u)

   Except: Any person possessing a valid Colorado hunting/fishing license lawfully involved in hunting and harvesting game.

2. Parking or leaving a vehicle in violation of posted instructions. 36 C.F.R. § 261.58 (g)
3. Igniting, building, maintaining, attending, or using a fire (including fires fueled by charcoal or briquettes) outside of a permanent metal or concrete fire pit or grate that the Forest Service has installed and maintained at its developed recreation sites (campgrounds and picnic areas). 36 C.F.R. § 261.52 (a)

EXEMPTIONS:

Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 26 l.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:

I. Persons with a special use authorization or other Forest Service authorization exempting them from the effect of this Order.

2. Any Federal, State or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of an official duty.
