Fraser Experimental Forest

The Fraser Experimental Forest was established in 1937 by the Forest Service. It encompasses 23,000 acres as an outdoor research laboratory. It was first established to study the relationship between forest management and water yield. Today, the Fraser Experimental Forest is a site for research on silviculture, riparian habitats, invasives, insects, soils, and other topics, in addition to water quantity and quality.
