Roaring Fork Trailhead

Roaring Fork Trailhead is located in Arapaho National Recreation Area and provides access to Indian Peaks Wilderness. The Continental Divide Trail is accessible from this trailhead.

General Information

Permits are required for overnight stays in the Indian Peaks Wilderness from June 1 to September 15. Additional permit requirements exist for large and organized groups.

A permit is required to camp from June 1 - September 15.

Mechanized/motorized travel is prohibited.

Do not camp or build campfires within 100 feet of developed trails or bodies of water.

Group size is limited to 12 people and/or livestock.

Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Day Use:
$5 per 1-day pass
$10 per 3-day pass
$15 per 7-day pass
$30 per annual pass

Dogs must be on a hand-held leash.

Directions

From Granby, turn north on U.S. Highway 34 and drive approximately six miles to County Road (CR) 6. Turn east onto CR 6 (Arapaho Bay Road or Forest Road 125) and travel nine miles. Turn left (north) and drive 0.8 mile to the parking area.

There is parking for approximately 15 vehicles.
