Shadow Mountain Dam Trailhead

The Shadow Mountain Dam Trailhead is located at the southern end of Shadow Mountain Reservoir and the Green Ridge Campground. This trailhead provides access to Rocky Mountain National Park and the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail. 

General Information

Trailhead provides access to trails in Rocky Mountain National Park. Pets and bicycles are prohibited on National Park trails.

Day Use:
$5 per 1-day pass
$10 per 3-day pass
$15 per 7-day pass
$30 per annual pass

Dogs are prohibited in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Directions

The trailhead is located in the Arapaho National Recreation Area, 12 miles northwest of Granby on U.S. Highway 34 and two miles east on County Road 66, Forest Road 274 (on Shadow Mountain Lake) to Green Ridge Campground. Drive between the campground loops to the lake's shore and park on the right.

Parking

There is parking for about 12 vehicles.
