Wolverine Trail

Remnants of snow fields usually remain along the trail until the first or second week of July. The trail passes through the Bowen Gulch Protection Area, which hosts large old growth Engelmann Spruce trees. The trail offers great views - look for the majestic Porphyry Peaks and wildflower meadows. The trail is 2.1 miles one way.

Motorized use is prohibited in the Bowen Gulch Protection Area.

Mountain bikes are prohibited in the nearby Never Summer Wilderness, along with other Wilderness regulations.

Directions

Take Highway 34 to County Road 4. Turn left and go approximately 4.5 miles and turn right on NFSR 120 and go 16 miles to end of road.
