Crescent Moon Cabin

The Coconino National Forest is pleased to provide you with this exceptional recreation opportunity! This beautiful ranch house is in Sedona, Arizona adjacent to Oak Creek and near the base of Cathedral Rock. Enjoy hiking, photography, and beautiful Oak Creek, or just relax and take in the breath-taking view from the living room.

Please remember that this is a rustic historic ranch house and not a modern hotel. It is a cabin in the forest and very old. It was built by ranchers of the original homestead and made available for public use by the US Forest Service. Your careful stay and light hand to not cause any further wear on the premises is most appreciated. Read a brief history of Crescent Moon Ranch.

With three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large great room, two kitchens and an enclosed sun porch, there is plenty of room. Maximum capacity for the house is 10 people for overnight use (one queen bed, 2 double beds, 1 bunk bed with a full-size bed and a twin bed, and one futon in the living room). See regulations and policies for information about rules and restrictions on the use of the cabin.

Electricity and running water are provided. Each of the three bedrooms has one double size bed. There is also a twin bed in one of the bedrooms. A dining room table with six chairs as well as other living and bedroom furniture is provided.

The larger kitchen has all the basic amenities including a sink, electric range, dishwasher, and refrigerator. There is a limited supply of plates, pots, pans, and silverware. If you are not sure bring your own! The kitchen also includes a coffee maker, toaster, crock-pot, electric can opener and microwave. The smaller kitchen has a sink, lots of storage, and extra counter space. Try cooking outside where you will find a grill and picnic table!
