Naches Ranger District

From the town of Naches, all the way up to White Pass, the Naches Ranger District encompasses approximately 518,000 acres of recreation opportunities. Get epic views of Mt. Rainier while also experiencing over 200 days of sunshine per year.

Here, in a still largely unknown part of Washington, visitors will find plenty of opportunities for camping, swimming, hiking, rock climbing, off-roading, fishing and more.

With rambling roads, breathtaking vistas, and plenty of pit stops, the White Pass Scenic Byway is a great place to begin. Climbers will find over 700 climbing routes on basalt columns overlooking the Tieton River. Clear Lake and Rimrock are just a few popular spots for boating. Divide Ridge is popular with four-wheel drive enthusiasts.

Adjacent to other swaths of wilderness, visiting the Naches Ranger District also gives you access to Goat Rocks Wilderness, Norse Peak, Mt. Rainier, Gifford-Pinchot National Forest and more!
