This trailhead provides access to the Schaefer Lake Trail #1519 which enters Glacier Peak Wilderness near the lake.

Directions
From Leavenworth, head southwest on US-2 West for 15 miles. Then turn right on WA-207/Lake Wenatchee Highway and follow it for 4.4 miles. Turn right on Chiwawa Loop Road and travel 0.4 mile, then stay right at the intersection. Take the second left onto Chiwawa River Road/Forest Road 6200 and follow it for 13.5 miles to the trailhead.
