Directions
From Winthrop, WA take State Route 20 west for 13 miles, turn right on paved Lost River Road and travel 7.5 miles. Then continue on gravel Forest Road 5400 to Harts Pass then turn right and follow spur road uphill to pass Pacific Crest Trailhead (at first switchback), Slate Pass (at second switchback) to arrive at Slate Peak trailhead at the gate near end of the road.
