Trinity Trailhead

This trailhead provides access to the Buck Creek Trail #1513 and the Chiwawa River Trail #1550 within Glacier Peak Wilderness. 

There is a vault toilet at the trailhead. The trailhead borders private land. Please respect private property and stay on the trail in this area.

Current Conditions
The final 12 mile section of Chiwawa River road is very rough gravel and dirt, and may not be suitable for low clearance vehicles.

  • Wilderness Permit Required: To enter this wilderness, visitors need to fill out a free permit at the trailhead.
  • Wilderness Regulations apply within Glacier Peak Wilderness.

Directions

From Leavenworth, head north on US-2 West for 15 miles. At Coles Corner, turn right on WA-207 North and go 4.4 miles. Go right on Chiwawa Loop Road and stay right at the intersection. Then take the second left onto Chiwawa River Road/Forest Road 6200 and follow it for about 23 miles. Road becomes gravel/dirt at 11-mile point. Continue another 12 miles on very rough road, keeping left, to trailhead.
