Echo Trail #3309
Beginning at Echo Trailhead, Echo Trail #3309 travels downhill southeast through shrubs and thinned stands of coniferous forest. The trail meets Forest Road 552, becoming the road as it winds southeast, then breaks off again bearing east sidehilling down and through steep drainages before ending at Forest Road 1993 and East Fork, Lower Trailhead.

There are two types of entry permits required between June 15 and October 15 for entering the Three Sisters Wilderness if entering from the East Fork Lower Trailhead.
- Overnight Use
- Central Cascades Wilderness Permit between June 15 and October 15.
- Day Use
- Free, self-issue Wilderness Permit (available at the trailhead) between June 15 and October 15.
