The Louis Lake Campground has nine campsites around Louis Lake and the outlet of Louis Creek. The area around the inlet is very marshy and home to abundant wildlife. No trailers over 24 feet. Amenities include two vault toilet, picnic tables, and cook grates. Potable water is not available. The Louis Lake Picnic Site includes two vault toilets, 18 picnic tables, and 18 cook grates. Drinking water is not available. A boat ramp, fishing, boating, and hiking opportunities are nearby.

Loup Loup Alpine Ski Area

Located between Twisp and Okanogan on Highway 20, the Loup Loup Pass is just a short trip from the Methow Valley. Love Lake Picnic Site

This picnic site sits on the shore of Love Lake, a small impoundment at the head of Middle Creek. The area offers fishing, day hiking up the road, picnicking, and natural scenery. Restroom and several picnic tables with fire rings are available.

Love Mesa Bench #101

The Love Mesa Bench Trail #101 begins at the end of southern FSR #501.1A, South Bench Road, and ends at the northern end of FSR #501.1A, South Bench Road. This trail travels along the South Love Mesa Bench above the East Fork Escalante Creek drainage on the east. The Love Mesa is about the trail on the west. A combination of this trail, FSR #501, FSR #501.1A, and FSR #500 make about a 7.8 miles loop.…

Loveland Basin, Loveland Valley

Located on the eastern slope of the Continental Divide, 53 miles west of Denver, Colorado, Loveland Ski Area is operated under a special use permit issued by the USDA Forest Service.

Loveland Pass Trailhead

The Loveland Pass Trailhead is located just south of I-70 and provides summer and winter recreation opportunities. Loveland Ski Area is located at the eastern end of the pass, and Arapahoe Basin is located on the west side. The pass itself is a popular destination for backcountry skiers.

Loveland Peak Trailhead #1070

Loveland Peak Trail #1070 follows a major ridgeline to Loveland Peak (5473’).  Fabulous views of the town of  Noxon and the Clark Fork Valley can be seen from the peak.  Smeads Bench Trail #1077 leaves the trail at the two mile mark offering loop hiking opportunities.  FSR 2706 is a seasonal open road (open December 2-October 14) and access the trail 1.5 miles to the west of Loveland Peak.

Lovers Camp Campground

There are 8 walk-in campsites at the Lover's Camp campground, and access to the Marble Mountain wilderness via the Canyon Creek and Red Rock trails. There are also corrals at the lower parking area with a stock loading ramp and room for trailer parking. **Effective October 23 - no water or trash service is available for the winter season.**  

Lovers Camp Trailhead

The Lover's Camp Trailhead is the starting point for popular hikes to Marble Valley, Sky High Lakes, Red Rock Valley, Little Elk Lake and Deep Lake. The Canyon Creek Trail connects with the PCT. Be sure to park in area designated and not in campsites. Trails into higher elevations may have snow well into June.

Lovers Leap Campground

CAUTION: There are bears in the area. Please keep all foods, soaps, and garbage properly stored. Check ahead. Campfires may not be allowed during fire restrictions.

Loves Falls

Low Lake/big Lake Trailhead

The Low Lake/big Lake trail is 2.3 miles long. The trail is unique in that it traverses both wilderness and non-wilderness areas. It begins at Thorne Arm - Fish Creek Cabin Site and follows the shore of Low Lake, then it parallels Fish Creek for another mile before crossing into designated wilderness.

Low Moor Shooting Range

This site contains both rifle and handgun shooting ranges, and offers a covered bench for shooting lanes. Low Moor Shooting Range is temporarily closed for repairs. Apart from any inclement weather, repairs are expected to be completed in a timely manner. Following repairs, the shooting range will resume normal operating functions.

Low Saddle Trailhead

Low Saddle Trailhead is located along the Stormy Point North Trail (#108) just north of the Hells Canyon Wilderness area. This rustic facility allows hikers and rider a place to begin their visit or to pick up others coming out of the wilderness. Taking a short hike towards the canyon presents a fantastic view of Hells Canyon.

Lower and Upper Coffee Camp Day Use Areas
