Tahoe National Forest
The Forest Service follows NEPA regulations issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Under this rule, Forest Service officials determine which proposed projects are shared for public input.
The agency no longer issues a schedule of proposed actions (SOPA) report. Below is the current list of proposed projects available for review—your opportunity to learn more, share feedback, and stay engaged in decisions that shape the future of our public lands.
Tahoe NF will authorize a 0.5 mile pipeline encroachment due to the acquisition of Van Norden Meadow. The Humboldt-Toiyabe and Tahoe NFs will also approve a new operating plan for the entirety of the pipeline. Actions are administrative only.
The installation of seven new #7 boxes (WLs 13, 17, 19, 23, 25, 29, and 31) and replacement of four existing #5 boxes with new #7 boxes (WLs 11, 15, 21, 27) will require 11 off-pavement excavations with 11 adjacent work areas.
