Forest Supervisor
Chris Feutrier
Feutrier joined Tahoe National Forest in June 2025 after serving as deputy regional forester for the Forest Service’s Pacific Southwest Region. Prior to that, he worked as the director for the Forest Service Enterprise Program and has over 20 years of experience in various roles with the agency.
“It is an honor to step into a role within such a vibrant community known for its commitment to innovation, hard work and a culture of excellence,” said Feutrier. “I look forward to continuing the great work already started here between the Forest Service and our partners. Through shared vision and collective action, it is our goal to ensure the Tahoe National Forest continues to effectively serve our communities now and into the future.”
Deputy Forest Supervisor
Amber Waters
Waters joined Tahoe National Forest in April 2025 after serving as budget director for the Forest Service’s Pacific Southwest Region. Waters began her Forest Service career with the Tahoe National Forest in 2000 and has served in a variety of administrative and budget-focused roles with the Forest Service Enterprise Program and across the agency.
“I am thrilled to rejoin the Tahoe National Forest and serve my community on the local level,” said Waters. “I continue to be impressed by the professionalism and dedication of our partners and staff working hard to deliver the Forest Service's multi-use mission.”
