Red Feather Fuel Reduction Project
The Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests is proposing to reduce hazardous fuels on National Forest System (NFS) Lands in the vicinity of the town of Red Feather Lakes, CO. The Project Area is generally located to the north, south, and east of Red Feather Lakes (See Vicinity Map). The proposed project area boundary encompasses approximately 36,525 acres. Of that total, approximately 23,000 acres are NFS Lands. The remaining 13,500 acres are private, state, and non-federal land intermixed throughout the project area.
