Larimer County Mineral Exploration
Larimer County plans to do mineral exploration for two existing abandoned gravel pits to determine viability for a future gravel pit. 6X12x20 deep pits will be excavated along a 2,800 ft path for the Sand Creek Pit and a 1,100 ft for Killpecker Pit.

Killpecker Pit is located at NFSR300 (Killpecker) & LC Road 86 (Deadman Road). Sand Creek Pit is located along NFSR 336 (Sand Creek) approximately .1 mile north of the intersection with NFSR 523.
