Peaks Range Allotment
The Peaks/Mormon Lake Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest is seeking comments as part of the environmental analysis process associated with issuing a new grazing permit for the Peaks Range Allotment. This analysis is required in order to ensure that livestock grazing is consistent with goals, objectives, and the standards and guidelines of the Coconino National Forest Plan (1987, as amended) and other applicable laws and regulation. The purpose of this project is to analyze the effects of authorizing continuation of livestock grazing and to ensure the allotment is managed in a manner that maintains and/or moves the area toward Forest Plan objectives and desired conditions.
