Location Summary:
The project is located within the Silver City, Glenwood, and Wilderness ranger districts of the Gila National Forest. Three transmission lines cross through the Burros on the Silver City Ranger District between Lordsburg, Silver City, and Bayard, NM. Additionally approximately 70 miles of electric distribution lines serving outlying subdivisions and communities of Grant County and southern Catron County, the Burro Mountain Substation and two communication sites (Jack's Peak and Glenwood Brushy).
