Six Lakes Trail #3597

This trail provides access to six beautiful lakes and many campsites. This is scenic route and takes the hiker through magnificent alpine old growth forests. After passing Lower Eddeeleo Lake the trail begins to climb to Waldo Lake.

Current Conditions
This trail is in an area impacted by the Cedar Creek Fire. Before visiting areas affected by wildfire, make sure to review the 4 Steps for Safety for recreating in burned areas.

General Information

Mosquito populations are very thick after snowmelt. Be sure to camp 200 feet or more from the shoreline.

Getting There

Trailhead/Starting Points

The Six Lakes Trail may be accessed from the Wahanna Trail #3583 from the Waldo Lake Trail #3590.

Directions

Travel east on Highway 58 from the Middle Fork Ranger District office to the traffic signal in Oakridge. Turn left at the traffic light, proceed over the overpass and turn right at the next intersection. Travel through Oakridge to Forest Road 24 (Salmon Creek Road) and continue for approximately 11 miles to Forest Road 2417. Turn left and follow Forest Road 2417 for 11 miles to Forest Road 254. Proceed on Forest Road 254 0.25 miles to the Winchester Lake Trail #3594 east about 1 mile to the Winchester Ridge Trail #3596. Turn left (north) and proceed about 0.25 miles to the Blair Lake Trail #3553. Turn right (east) and hike about 1.5 miles to the junction with the Six Lakes Trail.
