General Information
There are two types of entry permits required between June 15 and October 15 for entering the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness from this trailhead.
- Overnight Use
- Central Cascades Wilderness Permit between June 15 and October 15.
- Day Use
- Free, self-issue Wilderness Permit (available at the trailhead) between June 15 and October 15.

Getting There
Directions
From Detroit, Oregon travel east on Highway 22 for approximately 8 miles to Forest Service Road 2233 (McCoy Creek Road), turn left onto FS Road 2233, travel 7 miles to Triangulation Trail #3373.
- Triangulation Trailhead is on the right.
- Hike along Triangulation Trail for about 1.5 miles to Triangulation Peak Trail junction.
