Sawtooth Fire School
Want to become a wildland firefighter? The Sawtooth National Forest holds a course each spring at the College of Southern Idaho to teach and recruit new firefighters. This training provides students with skills and certifications necessary to qualify as basic firefighters. Armed with the tools needed to start career or seasonal jobs as wildland firefighters, many graduate have come to work for the Sawtooth National Forest.
