Visitor Maps and Guides

Visitor Maps for each national forest and grassland provide information on attractions, facilities, services, and opportunities. 

A Motorized Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) is a legal document that shows which National Forest System (NFS) roads and trails are open to public motor vehicle use. 

Maps for the three wilderness areas on the Sawtooth National Forest can be accessed through our Wilderness page. 

Maps associated with permits, including firewood and Christmas trees, can be found on permit information pages. 

Forest Service Digital Maps cover all lands administered by the Forest Service. There are available at a variety of scales. Maps are free as a digital download.
