Alum Camp #788 Trailhead

Trailhead for Alum Camp Trail #788.

General Information

Alum Camp #788 – In 2018 one and one-half (1.5 miles) was logged. This is quick, but steep access to the Gila River.

Year-round

Parking is available overnight; occupancy and use at the trailhead is dawn to dusk.

No pass required

Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.

Please do not camp in trailhead parking areas. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free.

There is no fee for use.

Pets must be leashed in the trailhead

Please contact the Gila National Forest Supervisors Office at 575-388-8201 for information about outfitters and guides who are authorized to operate on the forest.
