Apache Creek Campground

This is a nice quiet undeveloped campground amongst ponderosa pines and abundant wildlife.

Apache Creek Campground is in the northwest region of the forest. There are plenty of trees to provide shade and this is a very clean campground.

Closest Stores

There is a small store on Hwy 12 about 500 yards away.

Available for overnight use

No pass required

Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.

Use of OHV and ATVs is prohibited in the campground. Hunting and shooting are prohibited in the campground. Stock animals are not allowed in the immediate campground. A 14-day stay limit applies.

There is no fee for use.

Pets must be leashed in the campground

Please contact the Gila National Forest Supervisors Office at 575-388-8201 for information about outfitters and guides who are authorized to operate on the forest.

Directions

From Reserve, travel north on New Mexico Highway 12 for 12 miles to Apache Creek across from New Mexico Highway 32. Turn east (right) onto Forest Road 94, Cox Canyon Road and proceed about 0.25 mile to the campground on the right.
