CDNST/Mimbres Access #741 Trailhead

Trailhead for the 4 mile long Continental Divide National Scenic Trail - Mimbres Access Trail #153 providing access to the Mimbres Trail #77 (roughly 0.6 miles to Trail #77) and the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (roughly 4 miles travel).

Parking is available overnight; occupancy and use at the trailhead is dawn to dusk.

No pass required

Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.

Please do not camp in trailhead parking areas. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free.

There is no fee for use

Pets must be leashed in the trailhead

Please contact the Gila National Forest Supervisors Office at 575-388-8201 for information about outfitters and guides who are authorized to operate on the forest.

From New Mexico Highway 35 north of Mimbres, turn east onto Forest Road 152, Mcknight Road, following it approximately 13 miles to the trailhead adjacent to the Aldo Leopold Wilderness Area.
