Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.

Please do not camp in trailhead parking areas. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free.

There is no fee for use.

Pets must be leashed in the trailhead

Please contact the Gila National Forest Supervisors Office at 575-388-8201 for information about outfitters and guides who are authorized to operate on the forest.

Directions

From Highway 52 at Winston, turn left onto Republic Road for 1.5 miles. Turn left onto St. Cloud Road and follow it 5.5 miles to Forest Road 157 (Hermosa Road). Turn left, following Hermosa Road approximately 12 miles to Forest Road 730. Turn right and follow Forest Road 730 to its end at Circle Seven Trailhead.
